Por ficar numa baia, este é o sol se pondo no mar, não nascendo, como de custume.

All it takes is a few footsteps from your room and you can enjoy calm, cool, clear water. You’ll just want to jump in right: it’s simply the perfect place for families, especially those with small children. The broad beach offers lots of opportunities to play volleyball or “futivolei”, a popular game in Brazil. And just rent one of the canoes to explore the exciting hidden coves in rambling mangroves.

If you just want to relax, then take in the shade under one of the pousadas numerous palms or typical fruit trees. A leisurely walk (approx. 25 min.) through the “Mata Atlántica” (Brazilian coast jungle) leads to the small fishing village of “Campinho”, which gave the island its name. If you walk down the beach in the other direction, you’ll eventually reach “Barra Grande” (for more information, click localization)

Dune buggies or pick-ups will take you fast and easily to beaches with big breakers on the Atlantic side of the peninsula (approx.7 km). And lots of fisher boats or powerboat trips are also available for rent as a most enjoyable way to cruise the bay of Camamú and to visit its various small islands.
